Marty is an award-winning writer and creative director with over a decade of experience in digital media & advertising. Martys' approach combines the fundamentals of storytelling with the possibilities of technology to create experiences that feel both innately familiar and completely new. He currently lead the development team at Emmy Award-winning VR studio Secret Location. His work has been recognized at the Emmys, Webbys, Canadian Screen Awards, Digis, Peabodys, and elsewhere. Beyond digital, Martys' writing has appeared on television and in print for Teletoon, MuchMusic, The Walrus Magazine, and more.

Located in downtown Toronto, Canada on the Ryerson University campus, the Transmedia Zone is an incubator for innovation and creative experimentation in media and storytelling. With a focus on creative excellence, and emerging platforms, trends and processes, the Transmedia Zone supports exceptional projects that push the boundaries of what exists from students and industry members. We put a priority on collaborative cross-disciplinary work, with teams sharing expertise and experience as they take their crazy, big ideas from concept to prototype to viable ventures.
